Sourwood Honey
Sourwood honey is one of the South’s most treasured seasonal honeys, harvested from the delicate white blossoms of the sourwood tree that blooms high in the Appalachian mountains. Its flavor is unmistakable — smooth, buttery, and lightly sweet with soft caramel notes and a gentle spice that lingers at the end.
This rare honey is prized for its silky texture and naturally light amber color. Because sourwood trees bloom for only a short window each summer, true sourwood honey is limited, making every jar a little taste of Appalachian heritage.
Our sourwood honey comes from south West Virginia, western Virginia, east Tennessee, and north Georgia.
We do offer sourwood honey in larger quantities (up to 5 gallons). Send us a message and we’ll be happy to invoice you.
